Balkan is the first 1/2 finalistMarch 11, 2010
Today in Yambol was the first day of the Cup Finals for year 2010. In the first game of the day the team of Balkan became the first 1/2 finalist after defeating Chernomorets 88-78. So far in the season Balkan had lost both games against the team from Burgas, but today "The Greens" played better and won. However one of their top players, Jordan Bozov, got injured and will probably miss the next games for his team.
Balkan took a 23-18 lead after the first quarter but Chernomorets was in fron 41-37 after the first half. Balkan turned the things after the break and took a 62-57 lead in to the last quarter. In those final minutes the team from Burgas tried everything to come back in the game but couldn't do it and lost at the end.
Ivan Lilov was the top scorer for the winners with 28 points as Jimmy Hunt scored 19.
For Chernomorets Plamen Aleksiev had 18 points and 6 assists and Martin Durchev had 12 points.
