Levski is the first finalist

May 15, 2010 | Lubomir Neshev

Levski is the first finalist in NBL after defeating Balkan for third straight time in the semifinal playoffs. "The Blues" won 78-68 away and now can start preparing for the finals.

Balkan had the lead from the start of the game until the start of the last quarter. At times the hosts were up by 7-9 points and once they had 11-point lead. Levski though came back in the game every time and took the lead early in the last quarter. Then both teams exchanged baskets but afterwards Balkan had nearly 8 minutes without scoring a single point. Thanks to this "The Blues" took advantage and held on to the lead to take this win and the first trip to the Finals since year 2003.

Aaron Harper had another very strong game and finished with double double - 31 points and 11 rebounds, for the winners. Donald Cole and Gjorgi Cekovski scored 12 apiece while Bobby Frasor added 10 points.

For the hosts Ivan Lilov was the top scorer with 22 points but only 5 of them coming after the break. Jordan Bozov had 12 and Martin Marinov added 8 points for "The Greens".
